Winter blahs

I feel like I have had nothing to say lately probably because we have done pretty much nothing lately. I wake up go to work, come home, eat dinner, work out, go to bed...super fun! I am so over winter and cold weather because it just makes me a home body. Living in Ohio/PA my entire life you would think I would be used to long winters and snow but anyone who knows me know I simply hate it! The sad part is this winter has not been that bad considering it didn't really start snowing until January and we are several inches below average for snow fall.

So in an attempt to get myself over my yucky winter blahs lets discuss all the fun things I am going to do this summer when it gets warm again

Lay by our apartment complex pool as much as possible (I figure I pay for it all year with rent I am gonna get my money's worth)

Run/ workout outside ( So ready for that, definitely getting cabin fever)

Take my little brothers and sister to the Toledo Zoo (Because I will take any excuse to go to the zoo)

Enjoy living close to Lake Erie (Grant it, its nothing toooo exciting but we are only about an hour from some fun lake places like Put in Bay and Kelley's Island, which will hopefully make for some fun day or weekend trips)

Vacation to Outer banks North Carolina (My first trip there and my 1st family vacation with my family in a long time)

So as I look at this list I will continue to rationale my homebodyness (yes I just made that a word) by simply saying I am saving money for all the fun I will be having after all the snow and ice melts!

Stay warm and have a good weekend!

Wishful Wednesday

'I wish' .... I could play a character's role in a book and it would be Ali from The Notebook!

Not only is it one of the very few movies I actually own, but is by far the best book, as is the sequel "The Wedding". If you haven't read it, go get it right now! Some will say Josh and I already have a very similar story to Noah and Ali since we met when we were younger, spent 7 years apart and are now living our own happily every after!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Little Girl

Last weekend we headed home to celebrate my niece's 1st birthday! I can't even believe she is already a year old, where did the time go???? As you can see, she thoroughly enjoyed her birthday cake and her Tinkerbell themed party, she started eating the cake very gingerly but once she realized no one was stopping her she went at it and ate the whole thing, pink icing everywhere. She got lots of great gifts but mostly liked the tissue paper and wrapping paper. It was a great party and was so nice to be able to be there to share it with her! Love you Lorelei!!!

Love Swap

I was so excited to participate in the Love Swap and had so much fun doing it!

I got some really cute pink socks, a green can koozie with a "J" on it, an ADORABLE candy dish, some yummy Hershey kisses, a travel mug and some super fun packaging tape which is so fun because when the package came it had pink packaging tape and I was like "I want some of that!!" Then when we got back from travelling all weekend I had a sweet card in the mailbox. Loved it all!! Thanks so much Jess!!! and a huge thanks to Katie for hosting the swap, it was great!

All you need is LOVE

Back in the beginning of January I headed to Las Vegas for a work conference and my Mom came along with me for the ride. It was so much fun! Very different being there in January with 30 degree weather than when we went in August and it was 112 degrees. I must admit I liked th 30 degree weather better. My conference was being held in the Mirage so that is where we stayed and it was a great hotel to stay in. I have been dying to see a Cirque du Soleil show for a long long time and I knew my mom would love the Beatles show and we got the tickets for half price!!!

Let me just say I am not a big Beatle's fan nor do I know a lot about their music but I loved loved this show it was absolutely amazing and I don't think the word amazing does it justice. There were people flying everywhere and amazing dancers and so much stuff it was hard to know where to focus your attention.

We also went and visisted the Titantic exhibit in the Luxor which was very cool as well. There was an actual huge piece of the boat in the exhibit which is crazy to me considering how long ago the boat sunk. When you walk into the exhbit they give you a card representing an actual person who was on the Titantic and at the end you can see if you survived or not. Happily both my mom and I survived.
I decided to post this today because I realized I never really talked about my trip with my mom and it was by far one of the best trips ever. We had a lot of fun just being her and I and I am already excited about the talk of our next vacation in the summer!

I do not lose things!

Once again I have been a terrible blogger, we took my little brothers and sister to Chuck E Cheese last weekend and I of course picked up some nice kid germs and have been fighting a terrible cold all week, it has not been fun.

In other news, I think my gas company is crazy or my mailman needs a new job. We got the gas bill and I about fell over when I saw the total bill amount (twice as much as usual). After my initial freak out I looked carefully at the bill and saw there was a late fee and a notice that we did not pay ourlast bill, WHAT?!?!?!?! I gasped. So if you know me I immediately got the check book and looked and nope, I didn't pay a gas bill last month, then I searched through my little bill organizer and looked and looked and we NEVER GOT A GAS BILL LAST MONTH. Then I just started to get mad, I don't lose things I yelled to Josh as he just sat and looked at me like I was crazy. But I don't! Everything in this house has its place, and I know where everything is. I am convinced that the gas company wants people to pay their bills online (which I am just not ready for yet, I don't know why) so they are not sending out bills and then they are charging you late fees. It is a crazy person thought but I think it makes sense because if you pay bills online they don't have to pay postage and they will just email you the bill, etc. Anyways, that was my excitement of the week (sad I know).

Hopefully everyone is safe and warm, where my Mom lives they got 16 inches of snow, so far. We are OK, we only got a few inches.

Have a great Saturday!
