Details post coming soon!

Dear Self,

You are getting married in 36 days. Not sure how time has flown by so quickly but it has.
Enjoy it.
Laugh at all the craziness and for the love of God calm down :) You are so lucky to have such amazing friends and family who showered you with love last weekend and will continue to do so this weekend.

Do not let people take these happy moments away from you.

Love Josh. Remember that he is stressed too he just doesn't freak out like you do. But keep in mind how excited you both are to be starting this new life together.

Enjoy people. Sitting in that hospital with your grandpa was a reality check. This time we have on earth is not endless. You will have to say goodbye to people some sooner than later. Soak it in and never take it for granted.

Remember this time. You will look back and only think about the good not the bad. Have fun and embrace all the change that is about to happen.

Kelly's Korner Link Up!

Hello everyone! I thought this was such a good idea so I decided to link up.

I started my blog when Josh and I moved to PA when I graduated from grad school and started my first job as a way to sort out how I was feeling. I hated being away from home and loved having the blog as my outlet.

Now a days, things are 10000 times better. We moved to Cleveland last year, I love my job ( I am an event planner), we are getting married (8/3/12) we just bought a house, and we get to see our families much more than before.

I have blogged about:

My journey with Weight Watchers here

My love of reading and all the books I read in 2011 here

I also have a crazy big family. I am one of six kids and my little sister will be 7 years old in March and I spend a lot of time hanging out with her!

Other than that I really want to be better about writing on this blog especially about this exciting but crazy time in our life.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

The man I am marrying

I don't really get too lovey dovey mushy about Josh a whole lot especially not on this blog. But last night while hanging out at my parents I was sneaky and took this picture of him and my little sister playing school. She of course was the one doing the teaching!

He is so incredible with her. It takes a lot of patience to deal with her as she is bouncing off the walls non stop and always has to be doing or playing something. I am so incredibly lucky to have found a man who doesn't mind spending his Sunday afternoons with my crazy family.

So Happy Valentine's Day Bub!
Today and everyday I love you so much and can not wait to be your wife!

One word 2012

A lot of higher ed student affairs folks have been participating in a one word for the year idea. Even though I have leaped from the student affairs world into event planning this is something that I think can be applicable for everyone.

My one word for 2012 is going to be thankful!

The past few years have been downright ugly. With changing jobs and locations the way most people change underwear and being down right depressed and sad everyday I have decided this year will be different.

I am so thankful I have a job that I love and people that I love working with.
I am incredibly thankful for my family who love me no matter what.
I am thankful for the house that we bought even though home ownership comes with some headaches.
I am so thankful I am going to become a wife in 2012 and get to be a maid of honor and watch my best friend become a wife 2 months later :)

So for this year I am going to take some time and really be thankful for all the blessings I have and not focus on the negative.

What would your one word be for 2012?
