Happy Valentine's Day

Whether in love or out on Valentine's Day I Love to.....make other people feel loved!

I have been totally MIA the past few days..sorry!
My favorite thing to do on V-day is to make other people love the day as much as I do. Whether its baking something for them, bringing them flowers, sending an unexpected card. Anything to bring a smile to their face. I have always loved Valentine's Day and just want other people to love it to, no matter what their love situation was.
So Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!

My Peeps!

Today's topic is what do I Love about my friends.....short answer they are amazing!

I have had the same best friend since my senior year of high school and I am 110% sure I would not be alive today without her. Her and I have been partners in crime and caused lots of trouble throughout our lives but I would not change it for anything. We lived together for almost 2 years while I was in grad school and I miss those days sooo much! We used to sit in our kitchen (so random) and have the best conversations ever. She is the sister I never had growing up. I really hope our life plan works out and our kids can grow up together :)

But honestly, the greatest thing about all of my friends is no matter how far apart we are geographically or how often we talk when we do get to see each other or talk on the phone it is like no time has passed at all we just start right where we left off.

Love you girls!

Yummy day 4!

So excited for Day 4 of the Love is All You Need Challenge
For Valentine's day

I Love to cook....Crock pot Lasagna
It is so simple and lasagna is Josh's favorite food and we always have it every year on his birthday and usually we are back in my hometown for V-day since my niece's b-day is the 13th. But with it being a Monday this year maybe I will cook some yummy lasagna up for him.
Here is the recipe: Super simple

You will need:
1 lb ground turkey (cooked and drained)
1 32oz can of tomato sauce
1/2 box no boil lasagna noodles
2 cloves garlic
1/4 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1 8oz container of ricotta cheese

Spray crock pot with cooking spray
Combine cooked turkey with sauce, garlic, spices and onion in bowl, mix together
Combine ricotta & mozzarella cheese in separate bowl

In crock pot layer the noodles, turkey, and sauce repeatedly until done.

Cover and cook for about 4 hours.

ENJOY!

All you need is love day 3

If I could travel anywhere this snowy February I would LOVE to go....back to Mexico!!!

On our Christmas cruise a couple of years ago we stopped in Cozumel, Mexico for a day. It was A-MAZE-ING

We swam with dolphins, which was incredible. Then got a cute little cabana on the beach and ate chips and salsa and drank Cokes. Honestly, one of my favorite days ever.

I was 100% reluctant about going on a cruise in the first place. I was terrified of spending 7 whole days sea sick and miserable but my experience was a total opposite I now tell everyone I know to go on a cruise if they can.

All you need is love day 2

When I am feeling down, to cheer myself up I {LOVE} to call my little sister!

She is by far the funniest kid I know and says the most random things. She makes me realize how wonderfully blessed I am and most times knocks whatever silly feelings I am having right out the window.

She loves me no matter how I look, how much money I have, what kind of car I am driving..good day bad day...she just loves so unconditionally and makes me so happy.

Fun Lauren story...I called her this past week to see how she was enjoying her snow day from school and she answered the phone and I asked what she was doing and she was like...."hanging out in the closet" hahaha I asked why and she said "Cause these boys (our brothers) are driving me nuts!" hahahah Love it!
Love her!

All you need is love Day 1

I am so excited to be participating in the All you need is love swap and challenge:
Today's topic is: When I need some me time I {LOVE} to.....SHOP!

I definitely believe in retail therapy....and that doesn't always mean I have to buy something. Sometimes I just love to go to the mall or one of our outdoor shopping centers get a Starbucks and just walk around. Old Navy is probably one of the stores I could spend my entire paycheck at recently. I find being in my "mid" 20's it is hard to find clothes that are professional, trendy and affordable.

Keep checking back this week for the things I {LOVE}!

Change In The Making

This was the closing song at church today and it has stuck with me the rest of the day. I am definitely a change in the making as I continue to grow my relationship with God.

Have a great Super Bowl Sunday!

Blogger Award :)

Jen from...From A to Z My Life as a "D" nominated me for a blog award!
Thanks so much!
The Tucci’s

This award is the called the 7 facts/Versatile Award where you list 7 facts about yourself :)

So here at my 7 Random facts...hope they are some things you don't already know!

1. I was born and raised in the snow belt but am absolutely terrifed of driving in the snow. I used to not even get in a car with someone else driving if the roads were bad, now I have no choice. I am known to arrange my whole life around the weather. Sad, but true.

2. I am a Delta Zeta Alum. Joining DZ was the best decision I ever made in my whole life. There is not one second that goes by that I don't miss my sisters more than they possibly know. Being a Delta Zeta has made me who I am today and has brought many wonderful people and opprotunities into my life

3. I never watch college basketball until March Madness (this is so random). The past 3 years I have been in a pool with all of Josh's friends and 2 years in a row I came in 2nd place twice beating all the boys but one! Wahoooooo! Can't wait for it this year :)

4. I love the Cleveland Indians no matter what their record is. Can not wait til opening day!

5. I a so excited to be a bridesmaid in one of my sorority sister's wedding this summer :) She lives in Maryland so I am making it a little vacation and stopping in DC because I have never been there before (and it will finally check something off my 30 before 3o list...which I have been majorly slacking on)

6. Josh and his family keep trying to turn me into a Steeler's fan. Josh even bought me a Steeler's fleece for Christmas. I do cheer for them and hope they win the Super Bowl this week but in the deepest part of my heart I will always hope for a Browns win, if nothing else for my Grandpa

7. Lastly, I am currently doing Weight Watchers online. I had been doing it on my own since May but with all the new changes decided to commit to the online system. It is quite different but I am liking it so far. Since May I am down 30 lbs and never ever ever ever thought I would be able to say that.

I am giving this to all my followers, because I would love to know more about YOU!!

Top 2 Tuesday

Top 2 things you have learned about friendship

Due to my unexpected snow day today I actually have time to blog! This is my first top 2 Tuesday and what a great topic!

I have been so blessed to have wonderful friends but as I grow up I am continuing to learn more and more about true friendship.

1. Being a friend and having a friend takes work on both ends

I have friends all over the country and we are all very busy with our own lives but in order to maintain those friendships it is important to work on them all the time. Whether it's making sure to call at least once a month, sending cards in the mail, chatting on facebook or anything that lets them know you are thinking of them.

My bestie Kristen and I try to talk at least every other week on the phone most times when one of us is driving to or from home.

But sometimes is just about being there when they need you.

2. Friendship knows no age

I have truly found that age is not a factor in friendship. My 5 year old sister is honestly one of my best friends, sometimes our conversations make no sense but she is still one of the best people I know. Also, on the other end I work with some women who are old enough to be my mother and I find those friendships invaluable as well.

And of course, it is perfectly wonderful to be friends with your mother.
